jfk - I love Spain too and going again in Sept. Where in Costa Blanca would you recommend, maybe Denia? Looking for traditional Spanish with a splattering of decent bars to watch a game or 2.

The price of a 2 week all inclusive holiday in spain was ridiculous for that time of year plus the standard of hotel was not even close to the turkey one. Im all for spannish holidays et as the flight duration etc is good with the kids but you get a lot more for your money with turkey it seems. going with an open mind as It was a tough decision booking there tbh.

Spend a few more quid and go to the Costa Blanca( two hours from London Southend a piece of piss) Spain (not Benidorm) I've been about a bit apart from the west coast of Mallorca(lovely but well trumpy) nowhere else comes close. Italy's nice but no good if you have kids as there's fuck all to do,add to the fact they bowel about looking posh. The Spanish in Spanish holiday resorts where there's no foorball shirts like a laugh and a slurp, nice people lovely grub. Nowhere else comes close.

Most of the hotels along Lara Beach are very good. The one I stayed at the Royal Holiday Palace was very good. The area itself is rather boring, but if you like hot sunny beach holidays and big hotels it is a good place to go.

Stayed in that hotel a few years back and really enjoyed it. Very relaxing although I found Lara Beach itself pretty dull

Lara Beach is fine, been twice but Belek nearby is nicer with more to see and it’s more scenic I’d say

Been to Antalya a few times always stayed in Kemer, lovely hotels and obviously the weather is superb. Last time we went to Turkey we went fethiye. Much better than kemer, stayed at the hillside beach resort. Lovely gaff

Lara Beach is very nice. Nicer than Bodrum beach. But I didn't like Antalya at all.
